About the Interpreter

Nataliya Yena is a qualified conference interpreter, translator and politologist. She was born in 1973 in Kyiv, Ukraine.
Nataliya was resident in Germany from 1997 until the end of 2009; from 2000 until 2003 she lived in London, UK.
On completion of her studies she was based as a full-time freelance translator and conference interpreter from 2000 until 2003 in London, from 2003 until 2008 in Berlin, and in 2009 in Frankfurt before settling down as a full-time conference interpreter in Kyiv, Ukraine as of January 2010. Working Languages
Nataliya works in two native languages: Ukrainian and Russian. Her first foreign language is German. That is her active foreign language, from and into which she interprets. Nataliya’s second foreign language is English, her passive foreign language. This means that she interprets from English, but – apart from in a few exceptional cases – not into English.
